The Final Born Updates…

Some news for The Final Born as we get even closer to the release date! I had quite a few fun things happen in April!

First off I ran a a giveaway for a hardcover copy of The Final Born as well as many bookish goodies in April. The winner has already received their box and posted it on Instagram! I’ve never run a giveaway before, so that was fun! I’ll try to run another one soon.

Over on Insta there are two book tours running for The Final Born, you can see the posts via the tag #thefinalborn or in my tagged posts section under my account @bookishmasonmonteith.

Finally, I have an Etsy shop! I originally sold a lot more on this shop in digital goods and now I have copies of my book and other related goodies available on there as well! Be sure to check it out here!

April 2024 In Books…

With finals season upon us, I really didn’t get to read much at all – however, I did read an excellent ARC book I was given and I adored it!

Unworthy by J. A. Vodvarka

I was one of the lucky people who received an ARC copy of Unworthy from J. A. Vodvarka. This book released on the 24th, so it’s now available if you’re interested!

I loved reading this and can I just say… WOW! As a reader within the first few pages I was spellbound – as a writer I was mega impressed! Debut novel?! J. A. Vodvarka already shows amazing talent in writing.

This is an outstanding debut novel. I personally loved her descriptive style the most. The characters were intriguing and kept me glued throughout the whole story. Some of the pacing was a little off but it didn’t throw me off too much as I still enjoyed the story.

The vibe reminded me a bit of Arcane and Songs from the Deep – so I personally loved that. I recommend it if you’re looking for a unique fantasy novel with strong female characters, magic, and a punchy action filled plot.

I can’t wait to see where she takes this story in her next books!
